Malpractice Rules

 

Malpractice Rules

All students must strictly adhere to the examination guidelines prescribed by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK). Any act of malpractice or misconduct during examinations will be dealt with severely as per university norms.

 

Acts of Malpractice

Students shall be considered guilty of malpractice if they:

  • Possess any unauthorized material such as notes, books, bits of paper, or written information inside the examination hall.
  • Carry or use mobile phones, smart watches, or any electronic/communication devices.
  • Copy from other students or allow others to copy.
  • Communicate with other candidates during the examination.
  • Write irrelevant matter, signals, or markings on the answer script.
  • Impersonate another candidate or allow impersonation.
  • Misbehave, create disturbance, or disobey instructions of the invigilator.

 

Punishments

Depending on the severity of the malpractice, the following actions may be taken:

  • Cancellation of the concerned subject
  • Cancellation of all subjects of the semester
  • Debarment from examinations for one or more semesters
  • Cancellation of admission in severe cases
  • Legal action in case of serious offences such as impersonation
General Instructions
  • Students must enter the examination hall only with permitted materials.
  • Hall ticket and college ID card must be carried for every examination.
  • Follow all instructions given by the invigilators and examination authorities.
  • Maintain discipline and integrity throughout the examination process.

Ignorance of rules will not be accepted as an excuse. Students are advised to maintain honesty and uphold the ethical standards of the institution and university.
